Weekly Speed and Agility Programs Now Included in Club Membership

Speed is a necessity in today’s game. Performance training has been around and has exploded in the past couple of years to provide athlete’s an opportunity to enhance their skills. There is no substitute for size and speed. There is always time to improve and our staff of coaches we have provided know when our players have to be ready.

It is for this very reason that our Club has decided to include a weekly Speed and Agility Program in our Club Membership. There is no additional cost to participate and the program has shown that athletes who do participate a definite difference and advantage over others who do not. Don’t miss the opportunity. They train at our practice fields. Please see the schedule below!

Junior Eagles Academy

Advanced Training Program

Open to All Players Ages 4-10 or Beginner Levels

Experience our Professional Level Training and Development Program

Focusing on Ball Technique and Foot Skills

2012 Session I – Spring

The goal of the Jr. Eagles Academy is to introduce players to proper technique and a love of soccer. Competitive play at these ages will not be the main focus and instead, sessions will emphasize max touches on the ball. Our Club encourages creativity on the pitch, giving our players the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them. The focal point of Academy sessions will be on foot skills, ball manipulation, passing and receiving, 1 v 1 tactics, and making good decisions on the ball. All sessions are geared toward growing in the sport and preparing them for our Competitive Club Program. Our young Academy Members will develop their coordination and fitness, and most importantly, have a great time, while learning about the complex game of soccer.

Cost:

8 weeks $120 per player

12 weeks $170 per player

16 weeks $230 per player

It is Corona Eagles Night at the Chivas USA vs. Seattle Sounders game on October 22nd, 7:30pm, at the Home Depot Center! We have sideline tickets on sale for $20. Please see your manager for tickets, or if you are not on a team, tickets are available at the snack bar. Teams that sell the most tickets are eligible for some great perks, like the ball kids or the high-five line.

Ernie Parra and CEFC B96 win National Boys U14 Title

After a long hard battle in Iowa, our Under 14 Boys are coming home with the National Title. The won the championship game 2-0 again South Texas team SB Select Club Mexico on Sunday, July 10, and will arrive bank in the Inland Empire with a National Trophy in hand. Congratulations to the boys, their Coach Ernie Parra, and Manager Cathy Kafoury!

CEFC GU13 Player selected to U14 National Team ID Camp

Daria Petredes, Corona Eagles 97′, has been selected to attend the annual U.S. U-14 Girl’s National Team Identification Camp which runs from July 31 through August 7 at the University of Portland. The camp features 100 of the top young female players in the country, the majority born in 1997 with a few in 1998, as each of the four regions – West, North, South and East – is represented by 25 players. The US Development staff will oversee a week of training and games and then will pick 36 players for a U-14 Girls’ National Team training camp to be held later this fall. Many top players who have gone on to accomplish big things for the U.S. youth and full National Teams have come through the I.D. camp, including Heather O’Reilly (1999), Lindsey Tarpley (1999), Stephanie Cox (2000), Lauren Cheney (2001), Amy Rodriguez (2001), Tobin Heath (2002), Amber Brooks (2005) and Kristie Mewis (2005). This is the 12th year of the U-14 Girls’ I.D. camp which started in 1999.
